What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Victory Hill Baptist Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

God

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit–each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in powerand glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.

Bible

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to
be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed; and, therefore, are the sole authority for faith and life.

Mankind

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of
God; and that in Adam’s sin the human race fell, inherited sinful flesh, and became alienated from God. Man is totally unable in himself to remedy his lost condition apart from the work of the
Lord Jesus Christ.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed onCalvary for the forgiveness of our sins. Salvation is obtained by repentance of sin and by
expressing faith in Christ alone.

The Church

We believe that the local church, which is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, is solely made up of born-again persons. It is the vehicle through which God has chosen his work to continue into the New Testament age and is the only institution promised perpetuity in the Scriptures.

Resurrection

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment.
